Cave Spiders are a rare mob in the world of Minecraft.

Item[]
If natural spawning is disabled, Cave Spiders can only be spawned by players using their fused item, which can be crafted with an Egg, a String, and a Fermented Spider Eye. It takes a total of 32 seconds for the fusion part to be fused, at the cost of 40 mana. After which, you'll have your spawn item to spawn a Cave Spider, which has a chance to spawn as a baby.
Natural[]
If natural spawning is enabled, wild Cave Spiders can only be spawned in by an Engendered Cave Spider Mob Spawner in an Abandoned Mineshaft.
Behavior[]
Cave Spiders will leap at opponents and attack them, and although their attacks are fairly weak, they make up for the lack of damage with their ability to inflict Poison II with their attacks, which lasts 6 seconds on Easy, 14 seconds on Normal, and 20 seconds on Hard. Since they have fairly weak attack power and rely on their Poison for damage, these mobs are not very good against mobs immune to Poison such as Undead mobs as well as other Cave Spiders and Spiders, and due to their low health, they will also struggle against non Undead mobs with heavy damage outputs such as the Vindicator.
The player is able to mount the Cave Spider, which will allow them to run across the land and climb up walls, while using the jump key will cause the Cave Spider to leap forward. Engender Cave Spiders are one of the many mobs that have a female model.
