Chicken Jockeys are a rare mob in the world of Minecraft.
Spawning[]
Item[]
If natural spawning is disabled, Chicken Jockeys can only be spawned by players using their fused item, which can be crafted with a Chicken Fusion Part and a Zombie Fusion Part. It takes a total of 22 seconds for the fusion part to be fused, at the cost of 25 mana. After which, you'll have your spawn item to spawn a Chicken Jockey, which spawns with a Leather Cap (Due to a bug, it cannot wear the cap and it will drop it). They also have a chance of spawning with an Iron Shovel, Iron Sword, or dual wielding two Iron Swords or two Iron Shovels. It also has a chance of spawning the Zombie as a Zombie Villager. If spawned in a Desert, the Zombie has a chance of being replaced by a Husk.
Natural[]
If natural spawning is enabled, wild Chicken Jockeys will have a 5% chance to appear whenever a Baby Zombie, Husk, Zombie Villager, or Zombie Pigman spawns. Alternately, one can make a Chicken Jockey by sneaking and right clicking when an allied Engender Chicken and Engender Baby Zombie, Husk, Zombie Villager, or Zombie Pigman are near each other.
Behavior[]
The two mobs function the same as their normal counterpart, as the Chicken will not attack, but will lay Eggs at a faster rate than normal Chickens, and the Zombie will attack foes by guiding the Chicken towards the enemies and attacking them, however the Chicken itself still will not attack in this form. Despite the utility, it is better to separate the mobs, as the Chickens will die swiftly due to their low health, leaving just a normal Zombie mob behind, and even if they do manage to live, if the Chicken runs off a cliff, the Zombie will take fall damage.
Right clicking the Jockey will split them apart, allowing them to function as normal mobs. The player is able to use the Chicken as a mount and ride on it at a fast speed, and it can glide when falling off blocks, however since the Chicken will take damage when the player is mounting it, it is advised not to use it as a mount. If the player uses a Star of Valor on a Chicken and makes it a Hero Chicken, it will attack any opponent by rapidly firing Eggs that each have a chance of hatching a Vanilla Chicken. Zombies are undead mobs, meaning they take damage from Healing potions and heal from Harming potions, and are unaffected by Poison or Regeneration. Engender Zombies are one of the many mobs that have a unique model, being one of the only mobs to have a male model instead of a female model, however the Zombie Villager will have a female skin despite the name still being "Zombie Boy". Since Chicken Jockeys always spawn a Baby mob, the player cannot have a Hero Chicken Jockey.
