If natural spawning is disabled, Cows can only be spawned by players using their fused item, which can be crafted with an Egg and some Raw Beef. It takes a total of five seconds for the fusion part to be fused, at the cost of 2 mana. After which, you'll have your spawn item to spawn a Cow, which has a chance to spawn as a baby.

If natural spawning is enabled, wild Cows will spawn in the Overworld at a light level of 9 or higher with at least two blocks of space above, in most grassy biomes except for Snowy Plains and Mesa Forest Plateau.
Behavior[]
Cows will attack by ramming into their opponents. These mobs, along with their rarer counterpart, the Mooshroom, are one of the best Tier 1 units in the early game, as they have the most health of any Tier 1, tied with the aforementioned Mooshroom, Ocelot, and the Pig, making them good for cheap and efficient combat.
Like its vanilla counterpart, right clicking on an Engendered Cow with an empty Bucket will fill the Bucket up with Milk, which makes Cows good to have when fighting mobs that inflict negative status effects like the Witch or Wither Skeletons. The player is able to use the Cow as a mount and ride on it at a fast speed, making it very good for early game transportation.
