Ender Dragons are a rare boss mob in the world of Minecraft.

Spawning[]

Item[]

If natural spawning is disabled, Ender Dragons can only be spawned by players using their fused item, which can be crafted with a Dragon Head, an Elytra, a Dragon Egg, two End Crystals, and four Emerald Blocks. It takes a total of twelve minutes for the fusion part to be fused, at the cost of 25000 mana and 50 Entropy. After which, you'll have your spawn item to spawn an Ender Dragon.

Natural[]

If the Ender Dragon in the End is defeated, there is a chance that a wild Engender Ender Dragon named Darkness will spawn, which has 400 hearts and is more powerful than a normal Ender Dragon, and it can be tamed if the player uses a tier 5 Summoning Staff.

Behavior[]

Ender Dragons have multiple attacks to harm enemies, they will either charge at enemies to deal melee damage if near the ground, or use one of their three projectile attacks, which include a fireball attack that explodes into dragon's breath and deal rapid damage to enemies in the breath, they can spray the breath on its own without the fireball, and they can strike an enemy with a lightning shot. If a player or an allied Engender Mob stands in the dragon's breath that is summoned from a fireball, they will be granted with Regeneration and Glowing for ten seconds, Speed II, Strength II, and Haste IV for one minute, and Resistance and Fire Resistance for five minutes. Ender Dragons are without a doubt one of the best Engender mobs in the game, from their high health, multiple buffs and attacks, and the fact they can't take more than 50 damage from a single strike, meaning it would take at least four hits to kill one, which is easier said than done due to their fast regeneration time, it is easily a great investment, however it is very expensive to make these because the crafting recipe requires a Dragon Egg, which only appears once per world without duplicating. A few more downsides to the Ender Dragon is it often flies up extremely high, making it hard to mount unless you use a Summoning Staff or Dragon Horn, or you simply wait for it to decide to perch on your head, and since the Ender Dragon destroys almost all the blocks in the game, it is not recommended to summon one near your base and only summon them near the enemy base.

The player is able to use the Ender Dragon as a mount and ride on it, it flies through the air at a fast speed and destroys all blocks it runs into, however the player will be dismounted if the Ender Dragon enters water and the player becomes submerged, while being mounted, the Ender Dragon will grant the player infinite Resistance as long as it stays on. The breath the Ender Dragon spits out can be collected with bottles and is a good way to get infinite Dragon's Breath for Lingering Potions. If the player right clicks on an allied Engender Ender Dragon with an End Crystal, the Ender Dragon will have a floating End Crystal next to it that will allow it to regenerate health even faster. If an Engender Ender Dragon is made into a Hero Ender Dragon via use of The Star of Valor, it will gain a new ability where the Ender Dragon will occasionally spit out a large ring of fireballs downward.
