"This long-limbed, purple-eyed, darker-than-night mob is not one you want to get into a staring contest with. Usually seen in the Nether and The End, its presence is rare in the Overworld. Rarer still - players who've made eye contact with it and then survived to tell the tale. Though I have." - Tom Stone

Enderman are an uncommon mob in the world of Minecraft.

Spawning[]

Item[]

If natural spawning is disabled, Enderman can only be spawned by players using their fused item, which can be crafted with an Egg and an Enderpearl. It takes a total of one minute for the fusion part to be fused, at the cost of 150 mana. After which, you'll have your spawn item to spawn an Enderman, with the cape that the player has (if they have a cape equipped). Alternately, the Enderman fusion item can also be found as loot in End City Chests.

Natural[]

If natural spawning is enabled, wild Enderman will rarely spawn in the Overworld and the Nether, and spawn more frequently in the End. Unlike normal Enderman, wild Engender Enderman are always hostile towards players.

Behavior[]

Enderman will inflict Blindness and Slowness X onto their opponents before charging them and attacking. These mobs are one of the best units in the game due to their ability to teleport and their ability to dodge arrows, making them good for countering archers and anything with projectiles like Skeletons, however they can still be effected by the fire aspect of projectiles as well as explosions, so they might get harmed when fighting stuff like Blazes and Ghasts. Despite their powers, they still take damage wen they enter water and when in the Rain.

Whenever an allied Engendered Enderman teleports, it has a chance of spawning in an allied Engendered Endermite, which is the only way to get this mob prior to getting to the End. Like Vanilla Enderman, Engendered Enderman are able to pick up blocks, which they will drop if you right click on them (only for allied ones). The player is able to mount the Enderman as long as it is not holding a block, which will allow them to run across the land and will also go with the Enderman should it decide to teleport, despite this, it is not a good mount, as it is unable to cross bodies of water. Engender Enderman are one of the many mobs that have a female model. If an Engender Enderman is made into a Hero Enderman via use of The Star of Valor, it will gain a new ability where the Enderman will occasionally teleport around the chunk and kill all the hostile mobs, including ones hidden underground.
