- "I don't know how much time you've spent with Endermites, but the poor things are eternity hungry."
- ―Cassie Rose from MCSM
Endermites are the smallest hostile mobs in Minecraft. In the Engender mod, this stays try, along with them being one of the few mobs with the "Swarming" trait, along with Silverfish, Cave Spiders, Spiders and Zombies.
Spawning[]
To spawn an Engender Endermite, you need to obtain the items to craft its fusion item, which are an egg and a chorus fruit. Once crafted, you'll need to place it inside an Engender Mob Spawner along with 5 pieces of Mana, and let it fuse for 10 seconds. After which, you'll have your spawn item to spawn Endermites, which one item give you three.
Endermites can also spawn naturally in the End, having a higher chance than Endermen or Shulkers. They also have a 5% chance of spawning when an Engender mod Enderman teleports.
Drops[]
Endermites drop 0-2 chorus fruit on death, and 5 experience when killed by a player, tamed wolf or engender mob.
Behavior[]
Endermites will attack enemies within 24 blocks of them.
Endermites will have a tendency to group up together into a swarm if they can. This is to boost their attacks using their swarming trait. Endermites, being arthropods, are weak against weapons with the Bane of Arthropods enchantment.
Endermites will take suffocation damage if standing on soul sand, because their height is less than that of a slab.
Endermites will spawn two portal particles around them.
The Endermite is based on the silverfish, so they will sometimes try to enter blocks when idle, but can't.
If an Engender Endermite is made into a Hero Endermite via use of The Star of Valor, it will gain a new ability where the Endermite will occasionally create two new allied Engender Endermites.
Counters[]
Endermites don't hard counter anything unless they're in large groups. If they are, they absolutely annihilate weak mobs that don't have Swarming, such as animals. They also do well against either tanks or glass cannons, as their swarming will overwhelm them.
However, Endermites get bodied if they fight anything that deals splash damage. Any explosions, area attacks, or hit-box contact attacks will make quick work of even a big swarm of Endermites. Anything that flies will also be a problem for them.
