Husks are an uncommon mob in the world of Minecraft.

Spawning[]

Item[]

If natural spawning is disabled, Husks can only be spawned by players using their fused item, which can be crafted with an Egg, one Rotten Flesh, one Bone, and one block of either Sand or Red Sand. It takes a total of 36 seconds for the fusion part to be fused, at the cost of 40 mana. After which, you'll have your spawn item to spawn a Husk, which will spawn with a Leather Cap for protection (they cannot wear it due to a bug) as well as the cape that the player has (if they have a cape equipped). The item can also spawn a Husk as a baby, and they have a chance of spawning with an Iron Shovel, Iron Sword, or dual wielding two Iron Swords or two Iron Shovels

Natural[]

If natural spawning is enabled, wild Husks will only spawn in Desert biomes at a light level of 0, replacing 80% of the Zombie spawns. They also have a chance of spawning if the player uses a Zombie or Chicken Jockey Fusion item in a Desert biome.

Behavior[]

Husks fight similarly to their less dry counterparts, the Zombie, which they do by pummeling the opponent with their hands or striking them if they spawned in with weapons. Despite the fact they're a Tier higher than Zombies, Husks don't have as many benefits compared to Zombies, the only main pro they have is they do not burn in sunlight, meaning you can use them during the day without needed to put a helmet on them or use a Fire Resistance potion on them.

Husks are undead mobs, meaning they take damage from Healing potions and heal from Harming potions, and are unaffected by Poison or Regeneration. Unlike their Vanilla counterparts, Engender Husks do not inflict Hunger on their opponents when attacking. Engender Husks are one of the many mobs that have a unique model, being one of the only mobs to have a male model instead of a female model. If an Engender Husk is made into a Hero Husk via use of The Star of Valor, it will become a Leader Husk and gain a new ability where the Husk will occasionally let out a powerful roar that rapidly damages nearby enemies, with mobs that died from this attack having a death message that reads "(Mob) was yelled at to death by Husk", and once the attack is over, all allies will gain the effects of the Morality Horn.
