Prison Spiders are a rare mob that originates from Minecraft: Story Mode.
Spawning[]
Item[]
Prison Spiders do not spawn naturally and can only be spawned by players using their fused item, which can be crafted with an Egg, a piece of String, one Spider Eye, and a block of Iron Bars. It takes a total of 35 seconds for the fusion part to be fused, at the cost of 50 mana. After which, you'll have your spawn item to spawn a Prison Spider, which has a chance of spawning as a baby. Currently, it shares most of the data of the normal Spider, including its skin, and thus, it has a 1/5 chance of spawning with its Survival Test skin.
Behavior[]
Prison Spiders attack similarly to their original counterparts; They will leap at opponents and attack them by striking them with their front legs, and although their attacks are fairly weak, they make up for it with their ability to inflict Slowness onto their opponents, which changes in duration and strength depending on the game difficulty, with it being Slowness II for five seconds on Easy, Slowness III for ten seconds on Normal, and Slowness IV for 25 seconds on Hard.
The player is able to mount the Prison Spider, which will allow them to run across the land and climb up walls, while using the jump key will cause the Prison Spider to leap forward. Engender Prison Spiders are one of the many mobs that have a female model, they currently share the same model as the normal female Spider and their name is bugged and displayed as "entity.PrisonSpiderHelpful.cmm.name".
