Spiders are a common mob in the world of Minecraft.
Spawning[]
Item[]
If natural spawning is disabled, Spiders can only be spawned by players using their fused item, which can be crafted with an Egg, a piece of String, and one Spider Eye. It takes a total of 20 seconds for the fusion part to be fused, at the cost of 8 mana. After which, you'll have your spawn item to spawn a Spider, which has a chance of spawning as a baby and it has a 1/5 chance of spawning with its Survival Test skin.
Natural[]
If natural spawning is enabled, wild Spiders will spawn anywhere in a 3×1×3 space centered on an opaque block in the Overworld at a light level of 0 except for Mushroom Islands. Spiders can also spawn from Mob Spawners located in Dungeons and Woodland Mansions. Wild Spiders have a 1% chance of spawning with a Skeleton on its back, which would make the pair a Spider Jockey, and if the Spider Jockey spawns in a cold biome such as an Ice Plains, Frozen Ocean, or Ice Spikes, the Skeleton of the Jockey has an 80% chance of turning into a Stray.
Behavior[]
Spiders will leap at opponents and attack them by striking them with their front legs, and although their attacks are fairly weak, they make up for it with their utility of becoming a Jockey mob for the Skeleton enemies, as they gain a speed boost while having either a Skeleton, Stray, or a Wither Skeleton on their back.
The player is able to mount the Spider, which will allow them to run across the land and climb up walls, while using the jump key will cause the Spider to leap forward. Engender Spiders are one of the many mobs that have a female model.
